Language of the month: February and March 2015

We learnt British Sign Language. Along with schools across the country we joined in the Sign2Sing Event 2015. This is an annual event, giving an exciting and fun introduction to sign language through music. Deafness isolates children and affects their health in later life. Sign2Sing brings Deaf and hearing children together through sign language. It was celebrated in schools from Monday 2nd February to Sunday 8th February 2015. All the children thoroughly enjoyed learning this song. For more details  about Sign2Sing please visit their website: http://www.signhealth.org.uk/

Language of the month: October 2015

This month we have been learning Swahili. We had a special assembly on Thursday 6th November.

Victoria from Badger class and her dad told us all about the Swahili language and Tanzania.

They came dressed in their traditional clothes and brought some African objects. They showed us lots of beautiful photographs of Tanzania.
