At Foxdell Infant School we follow the Religious Education Agreed Syllabus for Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire and Luton. We encourage our children to develop as individuals and members of society by respecting the religious, spiritual and moral values of others.
Children learn the major religions of the world so that they develop a deeper understanding of cultural diversity.
Our academic year is fully planned to offer an exciting and enriched curriculum empowering our learners to develop their sense of identity and belonging.
Through our creative Religious Education children flourish individually and become lifelong learners.
Foxdell Infant School has been exempted from the requirement to hold collective worship that is wholly or mainly of a broadly Christian character.
Parents have the right to withdraw their child from the teaching of Religious Education. If this is the case then they must contact the Head Teacher for further information.
Festivals, celebrations, books and acts of worship both Christian and non-Christian will be studied. Children will be encouraged to discuss similarities and differences and to develop tolerance and understanding of different faiths and cultures.
