Butterflies have been learning about animals this term. As part of our topic we went to Whipsnade Zoo. We had a great time and saw some wonderful animals!
We had fun exploring the different animals and listening to the White Rhinos talk. Look at some of the pictures we took. What an exciting day it was!
Year one went on a walk up the Dallow Downs this week. It was so exhausting to climb up the hill but definitely worth it! We were looking for signs of spring and enjoyed listening to the birds singing and identifying the different types of flowers and minibeasts. Hope you like our pictures.
Butterflies celebrated the Chinese New Year on Tuesday afternoon. We created Chinese numbers with charcoal on a special red paper and coloured in some Chinese animals! It was so much fun and we are very excited for our Chinese lunch tomorrow.
Butterflies had their class assembly on Wednesday and they were superb! They made their very own paper mache planets! We invited parents as well as Dragonflies and Ladybirds class to watch our performance. We performed the story little moon by Stuart and Nicola Clark. Awais played little moon, he learned his lines very well. Butterflies class all worked very hard and got a loud round of applause at the end! A huge well done to all of the class for learning the story in such a short time. Your teachers are very proud of you!
