On Tuesday 26th June, it was Year 1’s annual Sports Day event. Despite the hot weather, families of all the children in Year 1 turned up to cheer all the children on. A great time was had by all the children and adults as well.
Spring has arrived! At the end of the spring term, Year 1 went on a spring walk to Dallow Downs. We saw new leaves, buds, bird nests, insects and even discovered a fox hole.
Aliens have landed!!!!!!
Our topic is Moon Zoom!
The children have had fun learning about Neil Armstrong, making papier mache planets and making moon buggies. We have created some beautiful displays during this topic, to finish the topic the children came into school dressed up as alien and astronauts
On Friday Year 1 went on a walk on to the Dallow Downs to explore signs of Autumn. The children looked at the trees, then found leaves and seeds. They noticed that the Autumn leaves change colour and fall from the trees. They also listened to birds singing in the branches. When we got back he children talked about what they had seen and heard.
The Year 1 team would like to say a big thank you to all the parents who supported us on the trip.
