We encourage all children to access their active learn accounts at home during the holidays and weekends. They can practise reading and answering questions on bug club and they can practise their mental math skills on the maths games.
Well done to these children in Year 2 who have already logged on during the October holiday:
Squirrels - Sama, Rayaan, Salahuddin, Adhyaan, Abdul Mateen, Khariece, Haneefah and Safaa
Badgers - Humza, Safiyyah, Haider, Yousaf and Sofia,
Hedgehogs - Irtiza, Nadia and Ashley
Each Year 2 class created fact stations about two famous London landmarks. We found out about the London Eye, Big Ben, London Bridge, Buckingham Palace, St Paul's Cathedral and the Tower of London.
They worked hard to research information using the internet and books. Then they wrote facts about their landmark in their own words.
Children traveled to the other classes to learn about the other London landmarks by reading facts created by the other children. The children had to work together to read the information and find the answers to questions they had been given. The children enjoyed learning from each other and seeing work created by other classes.
