It was a cold Monday morning, but not an ordinary Monday, one full of excitement. The children were all busy making their Christingles. They carefully attached the ribbon and sweets; to their large juicy oranges. The most difficult part was not to eat the sweets until the end of the day. However, some children could not resist this temptation!
Some reception children dressed up in their vibrant costumes retelling the story of Christmas with Jo Burke from All Saints. The parents were very proud of their children! The hall was lit by flickering candles whilst the children sang the Christingle song. What a beautiful afternoon it was!
Thank you to all the families who donated money for the children’s society, we raised £440.05!
Our Harvest Festival was on October 11th 2017. This year we collected for Luton Foodbank.
Thank you to all the parents, children and staff for their kind donations. The school council visited the food bank for a tour and explanation on how the food is distributed. Thank you to Father David for his contribution to the Harvest Festival.
On Monday 13th November Foxdell held an Religious Education Interfaith Creative morning. The theme was ‘Light’. The children were able to get creative with their parents.
A special thank you to Father David and the volunteers from the church. Thank you to Ashley and his partner from The Discover Islam Centre, who taught the children Islamic Calligraphy.
There were some very positive comments from the parents,
“A very useful workshop, learnt things I never knew before”
“A good chance to work with my child, some interesting ideas”
We do hope you enjoyed this event and hope to run it again next year.
